New Start To The End

I am finally done with my projects for my class, Education 215. It has been a long 14 weeks, but a fun and inspirational one at that. I have learned a lot and have been able to explore different areas and ideas in the world of teaching. A big thank you goes out to my boys...without your support these past weeks, I would still be working on these projects. I am doing all of this for you!
Tonight I had my friend Ashley stop over to give Brewer and me a haircut...we were both in need of a cut! Brewer sat like a champ while she trimmed up his new do. The only part he wasn't fond of was when she went down his hair with the squirt bottle. He looks like a new man! And I had decided that it was time to do another donation to Locks of Love. Tonight, I was able to donate a 10 inch pony tail. Here is me with my new do...it couldn't have come at a better time either with the hot weather that we have been having! I love it!

Our Picasso!

Here is Brewer's debut as Picasso! Armed with washable markers and a piece of paper taped to the table, he manages to get every square inch of the paper and the table within an arms reach! Its a good thing that the markers are washable...

and Brewer is too!

Sick Day

Cooper is sick AGAIN! Last Monday, he went in to see Dr. Gerlach because he had another sore throat. She said it was Strep throat and gave him an antibiotic. Over the course of the week, he seemed to perk back up to his old self. But on Sunday afternoon, it was another story. He had been saying that his tummy was hurting, but we were thinking it was the medicine taking its toll on his stomach so we thought nothing of it. We were eating dinner over at Grandma and Grandpa's when he disappeared and we heard the dreadful noise...it was time for us to go home. He was up three times total during the night but then perked up again. Good thing I had off on Monday! Back to school we went to school on Tuesday. When we got home, he was complaining that his head hurt, and when I felt his forehead he was hot...102.6 hot. So we are home today to rest and get better.

Brewer has been giving his big brother lots of hugs this morning. He even found Cooper's favorite Bakugan! Now that's brotherly love!
Before Daddy went to work this morning, he ran to Walgreens to get us some more Tylenol to get us through the day. In the bag there was a new Bakugan in hopes to bring a smile to Cooper's face. He was pretty happy but didn't jump out of bed to get it...a sure sign that he is not feeling like himself! Hopefully he will start feeling better this afternoon after a good rest.

His two Bakugan's rolled up in a ball. When they get dropped or you place them onto the card, they pop out to be...

Brewer's Eighteen Month Check Up

Brewer had his eighteen month check up on April 16th (yes, this is out of order)! He weighed in at 24.8 pounds (25th Percentile) and is 33.5 inches tall ( 75th Percentile). Overall Doctor Gerlach was impressed with his growth and was happy to see him healthy and talking. We are jumping, talking, running, and exploring our world all around us!

Mother's Day

I was the luckiest Mom in the world today!! I was treated like a princess! I got these beautiful flowers and two awesome cards. The one Cooper and Brewer picked out is two kids fighting in the backseat saying "are we there yet?" I was also able to spend the day with my Mom, Grandma, and Randy's Mom. We had a great lunch together, but the company was what made the day so special... Happy Mother's Day!!

Arrg! Our Pirate!

During "X" week in Preschool, Cooper's class was talking about Pirates for "X Marks the Spot." He had a great time this week on his adventure...he picked out a pirate name "ParrotBobEvil", made a pirate's hat and eyepatch and brought home a "talking bird." How exciting it would be to be in preschool again!

A Rare Moment

It is a rare moment when both boys want to crawl up in Daddy's lap to read a story! This is priceless!

I Need My Medicine

Brewer came down with another cold:( As a preventative to having it settle into his lungs, he does a Pulmacort treatment. It is really sad when he knows that he needs it, because he just grabs onto the mask and does it himself.

Could he ask for anything more...two nuks, his mama, and his breathing treatment!

Week of the Young Child

At school, Cooper and Brewer were part of the celebration of the Week of the Young Child. During this week, each classroom takes on a theme to decorate the outside wall of their classroom. This year Brewer's classroom did "Thumbelina" and Cooper's classroom did "The Elves and the Shoemaker." Here are the boys in their part on the wall...

Brewer is a Bumblebee...a cute one at that!

Cooper is busy making shoes! The night before the wall was displayed I asked Cooper what their wall was going to be about for his classroom. He replies "something with Elves and the Shoes." I said "oh, did Ms Carole take your picture too?" "Yeah, she made me take my pants off too!" Now I see why!

Spring is Finally Here!

Cooper and Brewer are very excited that Spring is finally here. They have been enjoying the nice weather that we have been having. Brewer is an outside kid...he is outside from the moment we pull in the driveway at night until it is bathtime. Yes, we even eat outside on the patio!

Virgina Beach, Virgina

Our first big family vacation was one that will be hard to forget. We left out of Milwaukee on Wednesday, March 31 on Southwest Airlines...both boys did awesome on the plane. Cooper loved looking out the window and down onto the world below. We had fun playing I Spy with the different land formations that we could see. Brewer sat comfortably in our lap the whole entire way and did take a little catnap on the landing.

The condo was beautiful! Words cannot describe it 100%. We had lots of room to move about without feeling like we were stepping on everyones toes. Gg and Papa had a great time relaxing...Gg found a comfy red chair to sit back and relax in as she could look out over Back Bay. And Grandma had a great time with her grandsons! We walked on the beach, played in the park, visited with family, and checked out some of the area attractions!

On Thursday we spent most of our day getting settled in. Grandma, Brewer and I went grocery shopping while Daddy and Cooper found a park near by and played in the sand. Cooper got hit by a wave on the first trip out to the beach and changed his clothes three times that day. The beach was his favorite place to be!

On Friday, we went for a buggy ride down on the boardwalk. In our buggy we had: Brewer, Cooper, Daddy, Mommy, Grandma, and Rebecca. On the other bike, we had: Auntie Tina, Auntie Debbie, Uncle Dennis, and Steven. We cruised around for a couple of hours before we went back to the condo to rest up for Amber and Kevin's wedding.

Brewer and I touched the cold water of the Atlantic Ocean for the first time together! It was cold, but it also felt refreshing after walking in the warm sand. Brewer's favorite pasttime was chasing after the seagulls that landed on the beach...he probably would have done that all day if we let him!

On Saturday, we had a relaxing day inside. The weather was overcast and misting for the majority of the day. Our rental van was out of commission too:( Cooper, Steven, Rebecca, and Brewer had fun though playing inside and watching movies in the Movie Room.

On Sunday we went over to Sara's for Easter dinner. It was a nice visit and we were able to meet all of her turtles and the loud bird. In the afternoon, it was back to the beach to build sandcastles, dig holes, catch the waves, and chase the birds!

On Monday, Grandma, Daddy, Mommy, Cooper and Brewer went to the Aquarium and Marine Science Center. Brewer was in awe of all of the fish, Cooper was intrigued with the sharks and Daddy was having a blast! And Grandma and I enjoyed all of their reactions! Afterwards, we went out for lunch and we enjoyed some seafood. Later in the evening we went out with Auntie Lisa and family for more seafood...we just could not get enough!!

On Tuesday, Gg, Papa, and Grandma left to go back home:( We took the boys to the Virgina Zoo. It was a very nice zoo but it was hotter than hot so we went back to the beach. Unfortunately, Brewer finally had enough of being confined to a stroller, carseat, or high chair that we were unable to join Auntie Lisa and Uncle John for dinner on our last night:(

On Wednesday we went to the Nauticus and USS Wisconsin before our plane took off. This was an amazing museum and one we hope to return to someday. Daddy and Cooper had a great adventure climbing up on the USS Wisconsin while Brewer and I walked around on the deck.

We had a great time in Virginia Beach and were sad that we had to leave. Our time there was magical and one that we won't forget for a long time!

New Kitchen

Here is one image of what our new kitchen looks like. We have the color green up at the moment, but we are thinking of trying red out instead. Our tile countertops are awesome and the floor looks awesome. Stop in to check it out sometime!

OOPS!!!

It is kind of scary how quickly the month of April vanished from the calendar! We have been busy with everything that is going on, hence the delay on our postings. Trust me, I haven't given up on this blog, it is just not at the top of our "To Do" list that keeps on adding to itself. But without further delay...here are our updates!
