Ice Fishing on Lake Andrea

Daddy and Cooper went out to Lake Andrea for their first Ice Fishing adventure!!!  The thermometer read about 28 degree's, but it felt colder than that.  We were worried that he would not make the first 20 minutes, but about three hours later, the two of them finally came home.

Although the fish were not plentiful, the one perch that they caught was worth all of the smiles!!!  Both of them are looking forward to their next fishing adventure!

Birthday Party Saturday!

On Saturday, the boys had two birthday parties to attend!  First we went to McKenzie's 1st Birthday at Monkey Joe's!!  Brewer was very excited to go to this one and talked all about it on Friday!!!
Here he is climbing up all by himself.  He doesn't let anyone get into his way when he is at Monkey Joe's.  He is there for serious bouncing fun!!!
Cooper had fun running around with Landen and Carson, friends of McKenzie but also friends from school!
Brewer was determined to get his big brother, even if it meant going up the wrong way!!!

Later on Saturday afternoon, Cooper went to Gavin's 6th Birthday Party at Scamps.  Gavin is a friend from school.  While he is there, Brewer and I went out for a nice walk to Piggly Wiggly!  Brewer was super excited to be out for a stroller walk...the first of the new year!

Go Pack Go!!!

On Sunday, January 23rd, we all changed into our Packer clothes to show support to our Team!  The Packers were playing the Bears for the NFC Championship Game...first time in 60 years!  We knew that it would probably be a close one, but after the game started and the Packer's got going, there was no question as to who was going to the SUPERBOWL!!!!  We beat the Bears 21-14 with their third string quarterback in play too!  Now its off to Dallas on February 6th to play the Steelers!

Too Cold Outside To Play

This past weekend, we had our first burst of cold Artic air.  On Friday it was twenty-five below zero waking up and warmed up to zero by the weekends end.  To help us get rid of some energy, we cleared the floor and brought out all of our tunnels for the boys to crawl through and stand up. Cooper was even trying to get Buster to go through them!

We also tried to "ice skate" in the house by sliding on wax paper over the carpet...nice little workout for the legs too!

Buster Pup is Back!!!

We have had this Sheepdog running around this house for the past few months.  Water was everywhere because when he got a drink, his beard would soak up the remaining water and go all over the floor.  He couldn't play catch because he couldn't see where we threw his ball and had to wait for it to land so he could "hear" it bounce in its location.  And now with all the snow, would bring the snow back inside with him and send him straight to the bathtub to defrost and warm up.
But after an amazing three hours inside the portable groomers camper, the cute and amazing Buster came back to us!!!
Brewer was happy to Buster back after waking up from his nap and Cooper wasn't too sure as to who the new dog was when he got home from school!  Not to mention the trail of water from the water bowl is just a few drops now!!!

Snug As a Bug

Couldn't resist taking this picture of Brewer all cuddled up with a blanket, book, and crackers watching Elmo!  All he needed was his gookers to make this picture complete!

Powder Boy

This is what happens when you leave a container of powder open and the two year old finds it...
POWDWER EVERYWHERE!!!!

And a big brother to help make powder clouds!

Happy New Year!

Last night we rang in the New Year with a night of family fun Beck style.  We started our evening off with making stuffed pizza bread, garlic dough balls and fried mozzarella sticks and ate them fondue style.  Cooper loved the idea of eating it on the sticks!  Brewer just asked for everything to be cut up:)  After dinner was done, we played some Wii and watch How To Train Your Dragon before we all closed our eyes on 2010!
2010 was an eventful year for all of us.  Randy's Dad made a quick recovery after the heart attack in the beginning of the year.  Because of this, Randy has made some changes in our diet, in hopes for the better.  Randy loves coming home to be attacked by his two favorite boys at the end of the long day.  I have completed four more classes towards my teaching certificate and have four more to go.  If everything goes accordingly, I should be student teaching come January 2012.  Cooper started Kindergarten in September and has grown by leaps and bounds.  Although he "hates" homework, he loves the idea that he can read now and is excelling in math too.  He also loves the indoor recess when the weather is uncooperative outside.  Brewer has also grown this past year and is talking from the moment he wakes up till the time he goes to sleep.  We have found that he doesn't need a lot of sleep to keep going and loves to keep mommy up too.  He also loves to jump and attack any and all that are close to the floor.  Our biggest change came in July, when we unexpectedly got a new puppy in the family.  Buster has now found his way into all of our hearts and makes us crazy at the same time of bringing a smile to our face.
We are hoping that 2011 will continue to bring us stories to share with you, our family and friends.  Thank you for all of your support this past year, and we look forward to what 2011 will bring.  Happy New Year to All!!!
